In order to keep bringing the funk, the bass, the madness, and the party that is The Dockingstation every Saturday night at midnight, we ask you to look to your pockets and see if there is any kind of funds in there that you may like to donate to CKCU to help keep things running for another year!
CKCU is celebrating their 36th Anniversary this year and want to make it a special year by making their Funding Drive goal of $111,000 by Nov 6th.
Since 1975 they have been providing the best in: music, spoken word and multicultural programming 24/7/365. All of their hosts (thats us folks!) are volunteers but you would never know it by listening to the outstanding programs they produce. They cover everything from Indian Classical to Death Metal and from Bluegrass to Electronica and provide in-depth context about where the music came from and where it may be going. They also cover a wide variety of spoken word topics from politics to sports which help to offer a unique perspective. They provide programming in more than 15 different languages and their more than 200 hosts range in age from teenagers to seniors.
They are an independent media outlet like almost no other, and as a registered charity can give you a tax receipt for your donation.
Please consider donating to keep our independent voice on the air.
You can donate on their website or by calling the station during the dates of the funding drive (Oct 21 – Nov 6).
There is no CKCU or The Dockingstation without you.
