The headliner of today’s post comes via a Gonzales remix of Daft Punk’s Rollin’ and Scratchin’. What does it for me is Gonzales’ signature funky piano which eventually breaks to Stallone’s monologue about getting up after getting beaten down. Every time this sucker plays, it comes at just the right time for me that I’ve got little option but to strut and bob. Given that Daft Punk’s famous sound is heavily disco influenced, I figured I’d add a couple more tracks in the same vein. The first is a remix of disco diva Donna Summer by way of Sonicc; the second is Alex Metric’s take on the Gorillaz Stylo. Yeehaw.
