It’s been a long long time since Alan Braxe & Fred Falke have collaborated together. 2007 to be exact: their remix of Dragonette’s ‘Take It Like A Man.’ Since then, Braxe has been almost invisible, not producing anything original except for last year’s ‘Addicted’ and remixing here and there with the occasional duo breaker Kris Menace.
But that seems to have changed this month as Beyoncé’s people reached out to Braxe for a remix of her seventh single from I Am… Sasha Fierce — ‘Broken-Hearted Girl.’ Classic Braxe rhythm here, and one of his best remixes yet.

Fred Falke on the other hand has none nothing but produce remixes. In 2008 alone he produced 13 remixes, and so far in 2009 he’s up to 11. Earlier this year I missed his amazing remix of Gossip’s ‘Heavy Cross,’ harmonizing Beth Ditto’s powerful vocals with subtle and soft synthesized rhythms.

Unfortunately these two are still not working together at this moment… but we can only hope that one day they will return to release another amazing LP. In the mean time I suppose we all have to “put up” with their independent releases — should be fine assuming Braxe keeps up with Falke.

i can’t stand beyonce…. but that braxe remix is unreal. thank you for posting; my evening is complete!
