I was first introduced to The Cardigans back in 96 or 97 when I first started paying attention to Much Music. At the time I couldn’t get enough of ‘Lovefool;’ I was coming to terms with my heterosexual love for dance music (especially the funky-cheesy type) and as the hormones were raging, bleeched-blonde Scandinavian girls with soft voices were fun to watch on TV. When I am reminded of The Cardigans, I go hunting for my copy of Gran Turismo and give it a listen.
Barletta sent us over his edit of ‘Lovefool’ and I was a bit skeptical. I find a lot of remixes of this song kinda chop it up a little too much and don’t showcase Nina’s voice nearly enough. For Barletta’s edit, at times this is true, but there are parts of it that are undeniably perfect.

this makes me so happy.
LOVE this song. and this remix is quite delicious :)
I really don’t feel this mix.. I think it’s a tough song to remix, though. It’s a very ambitious project for a newcomer, and it shows.
Agreed, this song is such a pick me up!
@andrew.
Barletta isn’t really a newcomer……………………….
he is a newcomer. . what are you his boyfriend?
this remix is all over the place….what a joke
huge MEH
generic cookie cutter ‘electro’
Just because you don’t like… doesn’t mean other people don’t. That’s the magic of opinions.
How is he a newcomer??? hes been doing remixs for a while
a tough one to mix for sure and it isn’t perfect but if this version means I might hear Nina Persson’s voice in a club setting, who am I to complain?
