So while we were on our blog-time-out, we definitely missed a few of the newer and bigger indie artists who have made their way into the blog / dance music scene with some amazing remixes and covers n’ such. For example: Florence + the Machine, covered The Source’s ‘You Got The Love,’ the iconic 1990s epic house track, for their LP Lungs. The debut released this past July hit number 2 in the UK for 5 weeks, behind Michael Jackson.
The XX have also made a few waves in the indie/pop blog world, and they caught my eye with this brilliant mellow remix of Florence’s take on ‘You Got The Love.’ Possibly the best use of wind chimes, ever.

Florence + the Machine – You’ve Got The Love (The XX Remix)
This post wouldn’t be complete without a little homage to the original track — well not the original, but the best mixed version of the original circa 1996. The ‘New Voyageur’ mix of ‘You Got The Love’ transforms the original track featuring Candi Staton into an epic piano and string driven house anthem.
