Rex The Dog returns to 2009 with two stunning remixes that I’ve missed: Röyksopp’s ‘This Must Be It’ and Fever Ray’s ‘Triangle Walks.’ Both tracks include vocals by Karin Dreijer Andersson of The Knife or the newly formed solo project Fever Ray.
‘Triangle Walks’ is a standard Knife-like track with Rex’s synthesized magic thrown on top. Although a bit slow for DJing, Rex recommends getting drunk and just using Ableton to warp it up a notch or two. God I love that hand clap.

Fever Ray – Triangle Walks (Rex The Dog Edit)
For Rex’s remix of the Röyksopp track, Rex decided to call themselves K-DART, which stands for the Karin Dreijer Andersson Remix Team, because of how many times they’ve remixed something with her singing in it. ‘This Must Be It’ is a much more clubbable track than ‘Triangle Walks’ on first hearing that sexy bassline, and after having it on repeat for the last 20 minutes, I’ve concluded that a 500 Watt speaker system are the minimum requirements for this tune. If you’re anything like me and keep your sub woofer low to appease the people you live with, tell ‘em to feck off and turn that shit up.
