My August top 5 lands the 2nd week of September. How blogtardy of me. But in my defense, I’ve been steady drunk since the first week of last month… so where I lacked in blogging I made up in number of stumbles, vomit sessions, and blurred memories. Note: these joints aren’t last month’s releases – they’re just tracks I’ve had on heavy rotation @ my living room club during the month of August.
Too many La Roux edits floating around, but I’m all about the Nacey (1/3 of Washington’s party Nouveau Riche) piano version.

La Roux – Bulletproof (Nacey Remix ft. Matt Hemerlein)
The Buenos Aires homie Douster always beefs shit up properly. Plus he gets bonus points for lightning quick message response time regarding re-upping his stuff for download. If not familiar, peep his older Crystal Fighters & N.E.R.D. edits (as well as all of his original work).

Busy Signal – Da Style Deh (Douster Dagga remix)
I discovered Sticky K a while ago while flipping through older Dubsided releases. This track always stuck out as one of my favourites, partly thanks to the horns & drop starting @ the 0:40 mark.

This one was a toughy due to the fact that the Fake Blood & High Contrast versions are equally killer. I just figured since High Contrast is too heavy for some, and Fake Blood already (probably) downloaded & owned by most… this would be the best bet to throw up. Dave Spoon ftw.

Calvin Harris – Ready For The Weekend (Dave Spoon Remix)
Hadn’t really listened to Dance Wiv Me in a good minute, ’till I tripped up on this Shazam edit. Nothin over the top powerful or club-y, but perfectly smooth & catchy throughout.
