Got an email a little while ago (about a week ago) from this a label supporting this producer who goes by the name of Keith. After frantically Googling, I finally found this guys myspace and learned a little about him. Keith apparently hails from Baltimore, Italy (an Italian American perhaps?) and just finished up his Miami EP now out on Hypotron Records. The release is supported with 4 remixes including Dub Frequency, Supabeatz, Gaetan and Not An Exit.
‘Miami’ really brings me back to my DJ roots — at least for the first 20 seconds. That extra old sample reminds me a hell of a lot of the entire Ninja Tune catalog right before it drops into a dance floor destroyer.

Dub Frequency, recently out on the Cheap Thrills of Herve, takes a similar road with a break style before it gets all dubby.

The Not An Exit remix is probably my favourite out of the bunch just because of the raw synth riff that really makes my fingers wiggle. Unfortunately I wasn’t able to find anything else on this remixer except for what the email had: “a new parallel project of the italian pop singer SWIM, already on radio, MTV and many others networks.”

So whoever sent me the (whole) album was pretty generous, considering that this is an excellent EP. To grab the Superbeatz and Gaetan you’ll have to pick up the rest of it on Beatport — also necessary for those who want to escape the 160 kbit versions above.
