The Juan Maclean has an interesting past. Originally a part of Six Finger Satellite, Jean befriended James Murphy who signed on as the live sound engineer with a PA system known as Death From Above. Later James started up DFA Records which Juan is now apart of. His new single ‘One Day’ features Nancy Whang of LCD Soundsystem (James Murphy’s dance-punk adventure) and Soulwax fame (NY Excuse).
French artist Surkin has a remix bumpin out around of ‘One Day.’ He transforms the dance-punk track into a somewhat typical house track with strings and organs as Nancy sings “One day baby you’ll realize that I’m the one” over and over.
