What a clever title.
Well it’s finally out. Finally, A-Trak released his remix of ‘Bounce’ by Toronto’s MSTRKRFT. Right after the Bounce EP first dropped, A-Trak had mentioned he was working on his own remix of it. Lemme just say I was pretty surprised to find this in October on RCRD LBL today.
The track brings A-Trizzy back to his turntablism roots. A little bit of record manipulation goes on on this track. We’ve got scratching, but loads of 80s and 90s rap / hip-hop samples: horns, drums and ancient vocal samples (listen up for Missy Elliot).
