Thirteen

Being too young to actually really appreciate Stealers Wheel or Gerry Rafferty, pop culture orientated show’s like The Simpsons help me understand the past. ‘Baker Street,’ Gerry’s biggest hit, was featured in the episode where Lisa Simpson procures her new saxophone. This prompted me to download the track — one of the first songs I ever stole.

Kingston’s Sta (via Toronto) sampled the track for his own little reword entitled “Baker’s Dozen.” A baker’s dozen is 13.

What’s next? “Stuck in the Middle With You?”

I really like the intro part to Baker’s Dozen. It’s got a little Sebastian/Lehtmojoe to it.
