Dallas drum and bass DJs, Left/Right, return to THE DOCKING STATION with another kill remix. Their take on The Ting Ting’s ‘Shut Up and Let Me Go’ was really well received and there’s little doubt that their mix of ‘L.E.S. Artistes’ by Santogold will have the same effect.
This remix is different than the often loved and played, XXXChange edit; it’s a club track. The remix clearly shows the skill and potential of Left/Right. The bass riff is preformed by a real bass guitar, giving it a nice raw feeling (especially when it snaps), complimenting all the synthesized sounds and Santi’s voice. I was most impressed by the backing male vocals which appear during the last verse.
Not only is this a great remix, but it was created by two guys who are new to making house music which just blows me right away. We look forward to hearing more in the near future.
