Metronomy is the stage name of Joseph Mount, an electronic artist outta the UK. Live, Metronomy is 3: Gabriel Stebbing, Oscar Cash accompany Joseph so he doesn’t have to play all the instruments himself.
As well as his own music, Joseph is well known for his remixes which is somewhat untypical (but not really) of a “band” to do. I suppose he is in league with Van She, Cut Copy, or Hot Chip when it comes to being a composer who also happens to love remixing — I can appreciate that. Joe’s remixed everything from U2, to Britney Spears as well as more of the blog niche including Lykke Li and Midnight Juggernauts.
Now the tables of turned: we’ve got a collection of remixes from the internet to share with you as well as the original (unfortunately the new album Nights Out hasn’t be released in North America yet).

My personal favourite of the little collection is definitely Kris Menace. If you read this blog often, you know how much we all respect Kris and the rest of the French touch crew like Alan Braxe and Fred Falke. Kris’ remix offers a spacier disco flavour to the indie-pop track, but that’s not to say that Jupiter or Black Devil Disco Club don’t offer something as well. Jupiter’s mix takes advantage of retro synthesizers to give this track a real late 80s / early 90s feel. BDDC creates a chaotic avant-garde track that I can’t really properly describe.. you’ll have to listen to this one yourself.
