DJDT (DJ Dream Team?) appears to be one guy from Los Angeles (possibly more) who produces some softer electronic music. He (or they) relies heavily on synthesized horns with reverb and echo filters. All vox are filtered as well to help complete the spacey feeling of each track. Similar in complete essence to The Postal Service, using simple retro sounds towards the experimental and “indie” element.

‘Compact Disco,’ as the name suggests, implies a disco influence. The bass line is a little bit more geared towards dancing than ‘Baile Linda’ and with the inclusion of the guitar riff, definitely has a retro feel.

DJDT has also took the time to remix Lil’ Wayne and his single ‘A Milli.’ The remix follows the same style of simple soft synths and heavy filtering which completely changes the original atmosphere of the track. Lil’ Wayne looses all gangster credibility as the mix feels fun, childish and bouncy in an experimental Gameboy sorta way. Great stuff.
