Mansion

11Sep08

After battling a week long viral infection, I’m back. That was one hell of disease, but at least it’s over for now… enough about me.

If you are a regular reader of THE DOCKING STATION (which we have now) then you know DJ Barletta pretty well. You might even know about his counterpart Van Helder that he’s been working with as of late. The released a track together called ‘Stab’ over here.

Word on the blogosphere is that DJ Barletta and Van Helder decided to call themselves Mansion from now on — ain’t that cute.

They’ve got a new single and a remix for us of MSTRKRFT’s ‘Bounce.’ The original is typical of the two producers if you’ve heard anything by them before, heavy hitting beats, eerie synths and the odd vocal sample: ‘Break Back’ delivers. ‘Bounce’ on the other hand is the same style but more house with happier piano one-shots and a 90s driven synth.
