On 8th September, UNKLE will release ‘Remix Stories (Volume One)’ – released as a 12″ and digitally, exclusively via Beatport for the first four weeks after the release. The 12″ features four previously unreleased remixes of tracks taken from the last two albums (‘War Stories’ and the recently released ‘End Titles… Stories for Film’).
The deliberate decision to make this release available on 12″ was made in a bid to go back to UNKLE’s roots (of dance music, pre-digital age) and to make ‘Remix Stories’ a collectible item for long standing fans. In their illustrious career, UNKLE have released an array of remixes on CD and download, so James Lavelle and company are here honouring their favourite format with some of the mixes they they’ve been proudest of over the last two albums.
The free MP3 offered to those of the blogging community is Innervisions Orchestra remix of ‘Hold My Hand.’ Innervisions is a German House/Techno label. The ‘Orchestra’ consists of two of their artists (excluding Henrik), Ame, Dixon and Henrik Schwarz, who composed the UNKLE remix.
It’s a very soft minimal techno take on ‘Hold My Hand’ and does the job for a soft electronic orchestral track.

The EP “Remix Stories” will contain remixes by the legendary dance duo Layo and Bushwacka!, the prolific producers Radio Slave and of course Innervisions.
