The experimental-indie-pop band representing New Cross, London, sent us a jazzy track, their single by the name of ‘This Is Not The Fire.’ To be honest I have no idea how to properly classify these My Tiger My Timing, I use the term jazz as a medium for music that can’t be classified as (insert genre tag here)-pop.
If I were to compare this track to other bands… I’d say it’s a cross between a British CSS, Of Montreal and Stereolab. To keep it simple, this is just good pop music — and that’s a lot easier to say than indiecore-beatstab-brit-pop. Sure.
