Astrolabe

01Aug08

Astrolabe is a Japanese electronic music producer. His style encompasses the louder rock and metal influences of 80s and 90s Japan fused with a hard dance beat.

When I first heard his track ‘This Emergency’, I got very excited.

I’ve had it on repeat since. Anyways, this man does an amazing job of putting a lot of energy into each on of his songs, placing samples perfectly. You can even feel the Japan resonating from the oscillators. If you’ve ever played a hardcore Japanese video game, or seen anime involving giant robots, you know what I am talking about.
