Babies Dream Big

06May08

The new multi-genre LP by Alan Wilkis “Babies Dream Big” features a pretty unique sound of 70-80s synth-pop, classic rock and even blues.

Alan was nice enough to send his album over to us, and as of writing this post, I’m having difficulty choosing which tracks I should upload. They’re all just so different and good, but I don’t want to upload the entire 12 track album; that defeats the point of promotion.

‘Milk and Cookies’ is definitely a disco-dance track. Pounding rhythm, poinging synths and a squealing vocal definitely bring the song back an era or two.

In a completely different direction, ‘I Wanna Know’ is a great classic blues track. I personally grew up with a lot of folk and blues (Ry Cooder) influences allowing me to really appreciate this song. My Mum would love it and you will too.
