I love how hip hop rap and r&b have evolved using electronica elements. A few major examples is anything Timbaland and Danja produce, T-pain and hey.. Lil’ Wayne.
Right now Usher is ripping up top 40 charts his new single ‘Love In The Club’ produced by Polow da Don from his fifth studio release, “Here I Stand”. Don has produced tracks for the likes of Will.I.Am, Keri Hilson, Ludacris and Rich Boy (Throw Some D’s) to name a few. Slow beatz and a quick gated synth with some gangster organ-esque-horn-flanger sound-thing make me nod my head at the very least.
The original track features one of my favourite rappers, Young Jeezy. It’s always nice to hear some rhyming on top of a soul-pop track. The remix features an extra verse by T.I.
You can pick up the original on iTunes.
