So we’re probably the last blog to make noise about Santogold. Ages ago — I mean ages — I saw the video for her track ‘L.E.S. Artistes’. Great little indie track, strong voice with some excellent but simple composition. The lyrics are kind of sporadic (from my prospective) but hey, that’s new wave for ya.
XXXChange FUCKING KILLED IT with this remix. After picking it up I’ve had it on repeat all day. I can’t get enough of this girls voice with the eerie synths and echos.
It’s hard to take a great track of a different genre and try to apply it to the dance world without butchering it. Can you expect any less from Spank Rock?
